The story of Enzo is now online:
As life goes on, few things has changed in Enzo’s life. Officially he received refugee status 4 months ago. Also, after long and not successful wait for authorization by Turkish Ministry (required for releasing album “Red, Black and White”), Enzo has changed the name of the album. The “new” one entitled “Rainbow” was officially released October 15th, 2011. According to Enzo, “Rainbow” is the first reggae album released in Turkey by black man.

It is going to be personal. This picture, taken in 1936 in Java is still one of the most important pictures for me. It must have been 23-26 years since I saw this picture for the first time: it comes from family album given to me by my grandfather.

Nursemaid, Java, 1936.
Part of the WAR SONGS project, the story of Enzo [congolese dub-reggae musician, living in Istanbul] is coming soon:

One of the nicest moments in Tehran: Jahan, Kiarash and Nastaran sang «Dance me to the end of love», a song by Leonard Cohen, while Arash and Amoo-Reza were dancing in dining room.
Jahan, Kiarash and Arash are members of iranian underground country music band called Bomrani (along with two other members: Behzad and Mani). They’ve been playing for some time now and will release new CD soon.
Playing any western music in Iran is illegal and prohibited, however the underground movement is still vivid.
[more to follow soon]
